GTX 680 3-Way SLi
Guru3D posted an GTX 680 in 3-Way SLi mode. And here I am disappointed. The performance increase compared to normal SLi is almost none. Only in synthetic benchmarks we can see a lot of difference but we are not using benchmarks every day right? So what is the conclusion? Right now this configuration has no sense. Or the drivers are immature or we have some kind of bottleneck. I hope that they will fix it as soon as possible.

GTX 680 SLi Review
So guru 3D posted an SLi review of GTX 680. They scale very well in SLi mode beating just everything else on their way. But due to inmature drivers yet there have been some problems like for example SLi of 680's was 1 FPS faster than SLi of 580's. But most of the games worked correctly. The performance is sometimes doubled and I think that we will see some amazing videos in the future with this card on youtube.

GeForce GTX 680 Premiere & reviews
I have to say as I was very disappointed with the GTX 480 (high temps, high noise, high power consumption) and GTX 580 (which was only unlocked GTX 480 and also hot, noisy and power hungry) now nvidia retakes it's good name with this gpu. Number of changes is impressive.
It is power efficient, low temperatures as for a card this powerful, boost technology and now you need only one gpu to run 4 displays so also a good change there and many more in the GPU itself of course! Shall we see the numbers please? OK!
Stream (Shader) Processors: 1536
Core Clock (MHz): 1006
Shader Clock (MHz): 1006
Boost Clock: 1058
Memory Clock (effective MHz): 6000
Memory amount: 2048 MB
Memory Interface: 256-bit
Memory Type: GDDR5
Display outputs: Display port, Dual-link DVI, HDMI
Interesting fact is the memory clock and interface as well as the big amount of shaders.
Well the memory interface might be surprising only 256-bit (GTX 580 had 386-Bit) but the clock is very hi at 6GHz! Also the we have 1536 stream processing units that is 3x more than GTX 580! But the architecture is different this time so thats why we have so much of those stream units. I think that you will find more details if you are interested why do this card has so much stream units in the article.
Overall we have a new king! Will the 7970 will be a good competitor? I think yes if the price will be lower but well see for yourself at Guru3D.com

Radeon 7870 and 7850
AMD showed very nice GPU's the 7870 and 7850. The 7870 is on the level of 580 with amazingly affordable price! It is cool, consumes low amounts of energy and it works on 1GHz! The 7850 is a bit slower competing with GTX 570 and it does it very well sometimes it is on the GTX 580 level too! Well just look at the article on guru3D and see for yourself!
