Home Arrest Left 4 Dead Map Preview
So this is my first attempt to make a map in any game. This is a preview so the map status is still work in progress. I hope you enjoy!
(unofficial) First tests of Radeon 6870
The title says it all. First unofficial tests of Radeon 6870. I have to say that the 3DMark Vantage score is impressive. 6870 beats the GTX 480 (or other name very loud radiator :D)
We have also some specifications of the card so
Clock: 850 mhz
Memory: 256 bit of 6400 mhz GDDR5 memory 204,8 GB/s data rate transfer.
Rest of the specifications are mystery :) for now of course.
I am very interested how powerful will the 6870 be.
For now we have to w8 for the official results.

Commodore is still alive!
Commodore will release to the market a Commodore PC! W8 commodore was in the 1980s ?!?!?!?
Yea but now they are back with new nettop PC with new hardware in old case.
So it will have Intel Atom D525 1,8 ghz also 4 gb ram DDR3 for the graphic is responsible NVIDIA ION 2 (GT218) with 512 MB also we have 1 TB HDD, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and a DVD, CD, Blu-ray
combo drive and a HDMI port.
Very interesting product if you miss old Commodore C64 (:

Intel "codename" Knights Ferry
It is a parallel x86 processor. It is not a gpu but it might look like that.
So little explanation. To run a aplication with nVidia CUDA or ATI Stream you need to implement in the program very nonstandard application model of witch most of the programmers think that it is hart to do.
On the intel card we don't have any shader units or cuda cores or whatever, we have many of the x86 cpu so you can program in the normal way. So it is like having a graphic card only capable to do CUDA or Stream so it will accelerate some programs but if you want to play a game, heh sorry we can't do that. It is a Parallel processo as i said.
Well jump to the specs|
We have 32 x86 cores clocked at 1,2 ghz (in fermi 1,4 ghz for 480 cuda cores in GTX 480 or in ATI 850 mhz for 1600 stream processors)
also the processor is equipped with 64 L1 cache for each core and 8 mb L2 cache shared to all cores.
It has also a special 512 bit vector unit on each core witch enables 4x times more calculations than today's x86 cpu's
also something like more advanced hyper threating (it is called 4-way Hyper-Threating) so the card can do 128 threads simultaneously.
All of this is supported by 2 GB of GDDR5
It is a part of a bigger project called MIC (Many integrated core)
In plan is a unit with 50 x86 cores in 22 nm process.
One think i don't know when it will be relieved :D

EVGA SR-2 Classified 1200W Power Suply
EVGA is now selling EVGA SR-2 Classified 1200W Power Suply
As you can see it is able to deliver 1200W continous power
Also it has modular design but not fully witch means some cables are hardwired.
On the end of the some cables are special capacitors witch are delivering more stable power to components.
Also at the back we have two knobs to control the 80 mm fan and voltage of the +12V RAIL so when we need a little boost in voltage when we are overclocking we can increase it. I wonder if is is only re branded antec OC edition Quatro psu but i hope not (you know it is bullshit video of what i mean bellow)
